I can't get over how good of a Father Matt is to his two little boys. He absolutely loves cuddling with his new little Wyatt (as seen in the photo). In fact every night when Matt gets home from work if Wyatt is sleeping or not he picks him up and instantly puts him on his chest. The two of them could sit for hours watching ESPN or some freaky how on the History Channel together.
You see when I found out we were pregnant I told Matt that I didn't want anymore kids because I could not go back to a zone defense. We currently use the man-to-man defense on the kids and it seems to work. I typically get Eli because Wyatt and Matt are in the assumed position (as seen in photo). Although there are times when Matt and Eli get to bond as well. They have a big hunting trip planned this year for turkey season. I think I will need some heavy medication to relax me that weekend. They also venture over to the neighbors to race league and drive some virtual NASCARS.
As it hit April 1st today I couldn't help but be sad. I have only 19 more days of maternity leave left (total of 8 weeks). I can't bear to think of leaving my little Wyatt at the sitters house and venturing off to the bank. I suppose all parents do it so I just need to buck up and accept the reality. I suppose a consistent routine will be nice...I also hope that my 3 am blogging will come to an end by that time. :)

Carrie - what a great post! Bubba was sitting on my lap when I looked it earlier and he said "Aww, that baby is snuggling with his daddy!" It was like he could read it. Don't think about coming back, just enjoy the rest of your time off. You'll get through it like the rest of us have.
