We started out our Easter weekend with some alarming news. Kim, Matt's sister had a house fire. Apparently a flame less candle started on fire on her kitchen table. When she returned to her house early Saturday morning the whole house was full of smoke. The damage is pretty extensive. Kim's beloved dogs did not make it we will miss them greatly. Kramer and Sadie were some of Eli's favorite dogs to play with.
Moving on to some good news I took Eli to Peck's Flower Shop this weekend for their annual Easter egg hunt. My shy boy had to be carried all through out the bunny path but finally warmed up to the idea of getting eggs with goodies in them. He was having a grand old time until we reached the end of the path were the bunny was (or should I say a girl in a bunny costume). Eli freaked out and wanted to leave immediately. What a chicken!
Sunday we celebrated Easter with Grandma and Grandpa. Eli instantly went to find the basket of goodies. His first joy was a stuffed dog with Bunny ears from Uncle Matt, Aunt Sarah and crew. The Buddy Dawg (as apposed to Bunny Rabbit) was Eli's favorite all day long. In fact Buddy got to go to Preschool today. His favorite part of school was nap time...says Eli. Anyway - thanks Millard South for the gifts, Eli loved them.
We ended our Easter weekend with a trip to Mammie and Papa's house. After all Eli was ready for ANOTHER basket of goodies (this is #4 for the day). Mammie is a super shopper - she can hunt down the rarest of Cars, The Movie toys. Eli's basket was full of "regular" toys cars and some "Mini's". Eli loved everyone of them and knows them all by name. (He's a genius!) It was a full day in fact Eli fell asleep on the way home only to wake up to the garage door closing.

I am so sorry to hear about Kim and her beloved Kramer & Sadie. How awful!
We are so glad Eli liked his Easter basket. Hannah picked out the puppy, so you can tell him his Hannah-Girl picked it out.
