Barnyard Days 2008
Each year the bank hosts Barnyard Days where they bring in all sorts of baby animals for the kids to pet and enjoy. This was our second year enjoying the event, although I have to be honest I was a bit disappointed that Eli didn't like it. When we pulled up they had a baby horse by the front door. Well the horse made his neigh noise when we were right there and that was pretty much the end of the beginning. Our next stop was the baby chicks...no interest. Then stop was the bunnies...no interest. We moved on to the puppy dogs...no interest. The cows, lamb, goat, cat...no interest. I think I need to drop Eli off at a farm for a week to grow his interest in animals and to reduce the fear. We did manage to get a chocolate chip cookie and that was IT! No cute pictures, no souvenirs and no enjoyable moments. Our next stop was to Slumberland, where I think Eli had more fun. He ran all around, jumped on the bed. Needless to say I think the salesperson was glad we ended up buying a new mattress set b/c she certainly worked for it. Well let's hope our new mattress investment turns into good nights of sleep. It can only be better for Matt as he was on the couch for about a week or so. Sweet Dreams. - CAE
